Where we teach
Effingham Mahjong wants to meet you where you're at. That's why we offer to drive to your chosen in-range location!This way, you and your friends can learn in an environment where you feel most comfortable.We also can find a location to hold the class if you do not have one.(Extra fees might apply depending on the distance of travel.)
Who we are
Tina Herzing and Jill Hagler are both moms from Effingham, Illinois.Our lessons have been thoughtfully created to best explain the game of American Mahjong. We both absolutely love Mahjong, and we want others to share in the benefits it has brought to our lives.
What we offer
We teach multiple classes, depending on your level of Mahjong expertise.Our "Intro to Mahjong" class breaks down the Mahjong vocabulary, defines the objectives of the game, and ends with a step-by-step walkthrough of the gameplay."Mahj 102" takes the game a step further, dialing in on the strategy and giving more time for guided gameplay.
